Lifang lawyers, Xie Guanbin, Deng Yao, Roy Liu and Wang Hongbin, attended the 2012 China Lawyers Intellectual Property Practice Forum held in Chongqing on December 7 to 9. More than 200 lawyers and entrepreneurs nationwide were present at the event and shared views on their practice relating to patent, copyright, trademark, exploitation of intellectual property and IP on the Internet.

Mr. Xie and Mr. Deng gave a keynote speech on the patent and copyright sub-forums respectively. An administrative lawsuit relating to design patent invalidation handled by Mr. Xie and his colleague, Mr. Sun Xi, was elected into Ten Best Cases of the Year. Mr. Deng’s essay entitled Negative Effects of Current IP System on Innovative Motivation won the Best Paper Award.
