On November 27 and 28, the Second Beijing Lawyers Forum was held with the theme “Regulation and Transcendence.” Lifang’s managing partner, Mr. Xie Guanbin, was invited to preside over the “Innovation and IP” sub-forum and give a keynote speech on “Copyright Issues Concerning E-map Navigation System.” Leading members and experts from the Supreme People’s Court, SIPO, the State Copyright Office and Beijing High People’s Court attended the sub-forum. IP directors of big companies including Hp, Nokia, China Mobile and Founder Group, as well as more than 200 IP lawyers and practitioners, were also present.

The Forum selected 72 excellent papers from more than 900 papers it had received. Mr. Xie’s paper on e-map copyright issues was awarded the Second Prize.
