A paper written by Lifang’s partner, Mr. Xie Guanbin and Mr. Zhou Yingjiang, entitled On the Copyright Infringement Liability of Internet Search Engine Providers ---- with comment on the defect of Article 23 of Regulations on the Protection of the Distribution Right through Information Network, wins the Excellent Paper Award, together with other 5 papers selected from more than 100, at the annual conference of China Law Association on Science and Technology held on the campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University on September 24.

This year’s annual conference of the Association featured the Sixth Members Congress, the annual symposium, the “National Policy on Creativity and Legal System” Summit Meeting and the Shanghai Jiao Tong University KoGuan Forum of Sci-Tech Law. The about 150 participants, including leaders from Education, Science, Culture and Public Health Committee of the National People’s Congress, State Council Legislation Affairs office, Ministry of Science and Technology and the Supreme People’s Court, experts, scholars from universities, technology and legal service institutions, and entrepreneurs, conducted in-depth discussion on issues regarding legal support to national creativity mechanisms, innovation of production-learning-research synergy and legislation, technology transfer mechanism, and intellectual property strategy.
