On December 6, 2008, the Intellectual Property Office of the Zhongshan Municipality (Guangdong) held a gathering to publicize and explain the Outline of the National Intellectual Property Strategy. An advanced training course on intellectual property protection was also held in conjunction with the IP strategy gathering. At the event, Mr. Yuefeng He, Deputy-director of SIPO’s Protection Coordination Department, Mr. Yi Tang, Deputy-director of Guangdong Intellectual Property Office, and Mr. Yongshun Chen, Lifang senior partner, delivered speeches on the present situation of intellectual property strategy, IP strategy and local economic development, and IP protection and improving core competitiveness.

At the gathering, Lifang managing partner Mr. Guanbin Xie signed IP Cooperation Agreements with 6 industrial organizations, including the Guzhen Lighting Industry Intellectual Property League, Dayong Furniture Industry Intellectual Property League, etc. More than 70 people took part in the event, including leading officials from relevant departments of Zhongshan municipality, IP experts and representatives from industry.
