Successful Outcome in Obtaining of Copyright Pre-trial Evidence Preservation

Partner Mr. Wang Yong recently represented an American software company pursue a copyright infringement claim in the Shanghai No.1 Intermediate People’s Court. This case is significant in that it is one of the first cases where the People’s Court accepted an application for pre-trial evidence preservation for computer software copyright material under the Computer Software Protection Regulations. The successful application enabled the case to be settled out of court in favor of our client and set a precedent for future cases.
