An experienced trademark team headed by Ms. Huang Yajun and Ms. Liang Hui has officially joined Lifang & Partners since May 2014, with Ms. Huang and Ms. Liang becoming new partners of Lifang. This new team includes several senior lawyers and more than a dozen trademark agents who have extensive experiences in trademark practice. Their joining the firm expands our practice spectrum and capabilities regarding trademark registration, opposition, withdrawal and other related areas, enabling us to provide more comprehensive intellectual property services to our clients.
Seiner partner Ms. Huang Yajun practises trademark, copyright and anti-unfair competition law and other legal matters with respect to intellectual property, with especially expertise on trademark infringement analysis and disposition, well-known trademark recognition, trademark acquisition and merchandising and brand protection strategies. Thanks to her previous work at the Trademark Office for many years, Ms. Huang is familiar with the administration procedures regarding trademark examination, trademark infringement, trademark agency management and well-known trademark determination. In 2001, she founded Unitedjawee Intellectual Property Agency and acted as the General Manager. She led her team in providing services to clients including the Chinese Olympic Committee, Shanghai Stock Exchange, Coconut Palm Group Co. Ltd., China Huaneng Group, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. as well as Ports International, TOTO, Sunrider and Accor.
Partner Ms. Liang Hui has education background of LLM from University of New South Wales, LLB from People’s University of China, B.A. in Economics from Fudan University, and Certificate of Trademark Law and Practice from University of Technology, Sydney. From 1994 to 2002, she worked for the Trademark Office responsible for examination of trademark applications and opposition decisions. She Ms. Liang led the Beijing trademark team of China Patent Agent (HK) Limited from 2006 to 2012 and joined UNitedjawee in 2013. Ms. Liang's primary area of practice is in the field of China trademark prosecution, litigation and portfolio management. She has profound experiences in counseling clients on Chinese trademark law, anti unfair competition law, and in trademark enforcement, licensing and acquisition issues.
