The Second Copyright Practice Forum co-sponsored by the Intellectual Property Committee of All China Lawyers Association (ACLA) and Zhejiang Province Lawyers Association was held in Hangzhou in May 26-27, 2012. Lifang lawyers Deng Yao, Xie Tianxing and Chen Jiefa attended the forum, together with other 200 representatives of lawyers, judges, scholars, entrepreneurs and government officials from other provinces, municipalities, Hong Kong, Macao as well as Japan and South Korea.

Participants of the forum made extensive discussions on the current situation and problems in copyright areas of e-commerce, cartoon, games and software. They exchanged on practice issues from the viewpoints of government administration, court adjudication, business demands and legal services, for the common pursuit of the harmonious development of copyright industries.

Lifang lawyers Mr. Xie Guanbin and Mr. Zhang Yun submitted an essay to the forum on the draft amendments to the Copyright Law and were awarded Excellent Paper Award. Mr. Deng Yao compiled the proceedings of the forum, entitled Copyright Lawyers and Practice, and received the Excellent Organizer Award.
