The three-year long Dingjin Food Co., Ltd. (Master Kong) v. Uni-President design patent infringement and unfair competition disputes have finally been concluded in favor of Master Kong.

Lifang lawyers, Xie Guanbin and Zhang Bin, represented Master Kong, winning both the trial (before Tianjin No.1 Intermediate People’s Court) and appeal (before Tianjin High People’s Court). Both courts found that Unii-President’s products, bottled beverages of jasmine tea and sweet osmanthus tea, infringed relevant designs of the plaintiff and constituted unfair competition.
